Give women access to basic health care
The Department of Health and Human Services has been presented with a proposal by the Bush administration that would force hospitals and clinics to hire health care providers even if they refuse to provide basic health care services like birth control and abortion by denying these facilities any federal funding. Hospitals and clinics have every right to ensure that their patients have access to all the health care services that they need. Tell the Department of Health and Human Services to reject this proposal. Petition Text: All women in America deserve access to the basic health care services they need. This includes birth control and abortion services. It is every hospital and clinic's right to ensure that they can provide these services by hiring providers that will perform all the necessary services. Hospitals that put the health and safety of their patients above moral posturing should not be denied federal funding. Please reject the recent proposal to force hospitals to hire health care providers that refuse to perform basic health care services.
