Your doctor is on your side -- is the AMA?

The American Medical Association’s mission is "to promote the art and science of medicine and the betterment of public health." But recently, they came out in opposition to President Obama's public health plan. We think our doctors are on our side. Shouldn't those who claim to represent them in Washington be too? Ask the AMA to stop opposing a public health insurance plan.

As an organization that represents doctors, you’re supposed to be on my side. Don’t leave me without real choices, and at the mercy of the big insurance companies. Please stop opposing giving me the option of a public health insurance plan.
