The AMA is supposed to represent doctors and help them help their patients. However, last week they announced their opposition to a public health insurance plan that would ensure everyone could have quality, affordable health care."
The AMA has since walked back their opposition to the plan, but has fallen short of endorsing President Obama's plan for a public health insurance option.
