In 2008, Progressive Future Education Fund’s non-partisan Community
Voter’s Project helped hundreds of thousands of traditionally
marginalized citizens register to vote. People who'd felt shut out of
the process for years -- young people, African Americans and Hispanics,
low income voters -- turned out in record numbers to participate in an
historic election. We embraced hope for a better future, but it won’t
mean much if we stop now—and we have our work cut out for us this
coming year.
Join the Progressive Future Education Fund team as a paid organizer for the Community Voter’s Project.
We know that just a fraction of the people who vote in presidential
elections make it to the polls in mid-term elections like 2010. We also
know that giving everyone a voice in our democracy means more progress
on critical issues.

We’re planning to help 60,000 voters register for the 2010 elections,
and we're hiring organizers now to get the project started in Columbus,
OH and Denver, CO. We’ll quickly expand into other cities and states as
well.
