Call your Congressional Representative and ask for him/her to put homeowners before banks by voting for HR 1106. Use your own words when you make the call, but here's an easy script to give you an idea of what to say:
"This is a message for Representative _______. My name is _______,
and I am a voter in your district. Wall Street has received hundreds
of billions of dollars in taxpayer bailout money, while homeowners
haven't received any help at all. President Obama is trying to change
that. He has called on Congress to pass judicial modifications of
mortgages during bankruptcy proceedings. This week, you'll have a
chance to vote on H.R. 1106, a bill that does exactly what the
President has called for. This is a good bill that helps working
families in trouble. As a voter in your district, I urge you to vote
in favor of H.R. 1106."
