Since Memorial Day, Progressive Future has been rolling out our summer campaign.  We’re building staff here at our Denver national headquarters and across the Nation.  Over the next few weeks, we’ll be taking on Big Oil – arguing against subsidies to polluters making windfall profits, and for sensible investments in clean new energy sources to help Americans.  We’ll be advocating for solutions like mass transit, high-speed rail and Amtrak to provide commuters and travelers with affordable, quality alternatives to driving.

In the process, we're going to build a group of progressives who can help call for real change this fall and beyond.

We'll be sending out frequent updates about our progress and posting videos, blogs and other messages from our staff in the field. So make sure you and your friends have signed up to get Progressive Future e-mails and make sure you check back frequently to hear about what's going on around the country.  Stay tuned.

neighborhood.

The Recent Outrage

Bush Administration: We Said It, Therefore It's True  7/03/2008

In the first court review of the Bush Administration's secret evidence for holding a detainee at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, it was revealed that the government claimed the accusations presented in its secret documents should be considered truth — not because there were hard facts backing them up — but because the accusations were repeated in multiple government documents.

The Associated Press | 7/3/2008

The Justice Department is considering letting the FBI investigate Americans without any evidence of wrongdoing, relying instead on a terrorist profile that could single out Muslims, Arabs or other racial and ethnic groups.
