Harry: Help Keep Corporate Judges Off the Bench
Supreme Court judges are supposed to interpret the law for the good of
the public, not their corporate buddies. But time and time again,
Supreme Court judges are siding with corporations to the detriment of
the people and the environment. The recent decision to reduce the
Exxon Valdez settlement from $2 billion to $500 million is no exception.
If we're going to repair the damage being done by this court, we need
to raise our voices, we need to organize our friends and neighbors, and we need to start now. As the leader of the Senate, Harry Reid
can stand up against corporate judge nominations and keep these people
off the bench. Tell him today to block nominations of judges that will
put corporate cronyism over public good.
Petition text:
I've had enough of activist judges siding with corporations over public and environmental good. The recent decision to lower the Exxon-Veldez settlement from $2 billion to $500 million is a perfect
example. Please block any further nominations of these judges.
