The sleaze machine goes to work

Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Glenn Beck, and Newt Gingrich have called Judge Sotomayor racist. The National Review has called her “dumb and obnoxious.” Fox News has been bashing her non-stop, featuring Karl Rove who questions how smart she is and Senators Kyl (R-Arizona) and Cornyn (R-Texas) who have threatened to filibuster her nomination.

We need to stand up to support Judge Sotomayor, and make sure the right’s over-heated rhetoric does not distract the Senate Judiciary Committee from her obvious qualifications.
